For those impacted by the building collapse in Davenport, IA:
  • In partnership with Disaster Ready Quad Cities, the Quad Cities Community Foundation is currently accepting donations to the Quad Cities Disaster Recovery Fund to support Quad Cities nonprofits supporting households impacted by the collapse of 324 Main Street in downtown Davenport, Iowa.
  • Donations to the Quad Cities Disaster Recovery Fund can be made at  www.qccommunityfoundation.org/qcdisasterrecovery or https://qccf.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create/fund?funit_id=2132
  • The Downtown Davenport Partnership (DDP) announced it will allocate up to $100,000 to help businesses who were forced to close due to the building collapse at 324 Main Street. Funding applications are due by June 16 and are available at https://form.jotform.com/231567109476058.
  • Additionally, the Quad Cities Chamber and DDP have partnered with the Quad Cities Community Foundation to accept donations from businesses and individuals through the newly established Downtown Business 324 Main Disaster Relief Fund to help directly affected businesses. Gifts to the Downtown Business 324 Main Disaster Relief Fund can be made at https://www.qccommunityfoundation.org/downtownbusinessdisasterfund or https://qccf.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create/fund?funit_id=6944. 
  • Davenport Salvation Army is collecting in-kind donations of clothing, household items, and furniture for residents that have been displaced. Donations may be dropped off at 4001 North Brady Street. 
For those impacted by the Spring Flood of 2023:
The Salvation Army of the Quad Cities In partnership with Disaster Ready Quad Cities, the Quad Cities Community Foundation is currently accepting donations to the Quad Cities Disaster Recovery Fund to support Quad Cities nonprofits supporting people and businesses impacted by the Mississippi River flooding currently happening (April 2023)
• Donations can be made at https://www.qccommunityfoundation.org/qcdisasterrecovery
• The Disaster Recovery Fund provides support to nonprofit organizations meeting the needs of vulnerable people and communities in Scott and Rock Island Counties, and ensures we have the resources to address our community’s long-term recovery efforts after a disaster.
• The fund also provides assistance in the weeks and months after a disaster, when attention turns from emergency response to community recovery.
• Grant opportunities are identified through the Community Foundation’s partnerships with local government and recovery organizations through Disaster Ready Quad Cities.
• We encourage community members interested in supporting immediate needs due to the flood to make donations to American Red Cross of the Quad Cities and West Central Illinois or The Salvation Army of the Quad Cities.
Being ready for a disaster is the best way you can help. And when a disaster happens, you'll be prepared to quickly step up and support organized efforts.
